FHV-Ag Feline Rapid Tests(FIA)

Feline herpesvirus (FHV-1) is a large virus (100 to 130 nm in diameter) with an envelope and double-stranded DNA. It proliferates in the nucleus, forming intranuclear inclusions, which can lead to feline rhinotracheitis, conjunctivitis, and keratitis. Feline herpesviruses are extremely unstable in acidic environments and are very sensitive to heat, ether, chloroform, formalin, and phenols. It does not survive more than 12 hours in a dry environment. Therefore, for the spread and control of the feline herpes virus, it is very important to keep the environment clean and hygienic. Regularly cleaning and disinfecting your cat's living areas, drinking fountains, and eating utensils can help reduce the spread of the virus and the risk of infection.
