FCV -Ag Feline Rapid Tests(FIA)

Feline Calicivirus Antigen refers to the antigen of feline calcivirus. Feline calicivirus is a common feline respiratory virus that can cause feline respiratory diseases, including feline calicivirus stomatitis (FCV-OM) and other related diseases.
The FCV-Ag test is a method used to detect the presence of feline calicivirus antigen in cats. This test typically uses immunological techniques, such as ELISA or immunofluorescence staining, to detect viral antigens from a cat's secretions, oral samples, or other relevant samples and provide a positive or negative result.
Feline respiratory illness caused by feline calicivirus usually manifests as symptoms such as sneezing, watery eyes, nasal discharge, mouth sores, and loss of appetite. The FCV-Ag test can help veterinarians determine if a cat is infected with feline calicivirus and treat it accordingly.
