Toxoplasmosis is a zoonosis caused by Toxoplasma gondii, which is worldwide distributed and seriously endangers human health. Toxoplasma gondii can infect all kinds of livestock, poultry and wild animals, but the susceptibility of young animals is the strongest. The main route of infection is oral infection. Healthy dogs and cats, after swallowing the sporulated oocysts of Toxoplasma gondii, escape from the intestinal tract, enter various tissues of the body with the blood circulation, invade cells, rapidly divide and proliferate, and open intracellular pseudocysts, causing clinical symptoms.
